Never a Bad Plant Day

Interior Plantscaping

gw001.jpg

Our workday world is made of steel, concrete, and glass. Yet in the middle of all the noise and stress of modern life, you can provide havens where nature abounds-- interior landscapes-- a natural and necessary part of the modern work environment.

Customers are refreshed and energized when they see lush green foliage.  Employee morale and productivity are dramatically improved where plants are part of a the work space.

  • Plants create welcoming "green zones" that become a significant part of the corporate signature.
  • Plants instill a sense of quality in the atmosphere.
  • Greenworks uses a palatte living plants to create an environment that projects a company's image and reflects the quality of its operations.

There is no substitute for the beauty and serenity that plants bring to an otherwise stark built environment.

The use of plants indoors has become a health necessity--NASA studies prove that living plants make indoor air healthier.

Design

Working with the interior designer, architect, facility manager and the client, Greenworks is a professional consultant in the design process. Greenworks uses horticultural design expertise (we are PLANET-certified in design) to achieve outstanding appearance. We recommend only the plants that will be successful in your building.

With expertise in light levels and environmental conditions, Greenworks offers a choice of appropriate plants that will thrive in a particular setting. When the Greenworks design team can confer with the architect early on, appropriate lighting can be planned and built into the project.

Greenworks can also recommend the best container selections in accordance with the budget and aesthetic of the design. Careful plant selection and light planning is critical to save the client money and unnecessary plant material changes at the time of installation or afterward.

A significant value of plants is that they bring the the natural environment into enclosed spaces.  Another value is their ability to lessen the harsh visual effects of dominant vertical or horizontal architectural features.

Equally important but less obvious are some of the other functions that an interior plantscape may serve.

  • Interior plantscapes can establish and direct traffic patterns, both within and between spaces.
  • In large lobbies, plantings can direct people to clustered seating areas set apart to create a sense of privacy.
  • Plantscapes can delineate spatial boundaries and indicate the activities to occur within those boundaries.
  • Any number of implied messages about the occupants and attributes of a given space can be subtly communicated with the use of plants.

The pieces of an interior landscape must fit together to provide recognizable cues about transitions from one area to another. The socially learned meaning about these symbols or cues may imply boundaries, function or status, among abstract concepts.

An entryway leading from the general office area to the executive and corporate board rooms can be subtly indicated by the proper use of specimens all intended to work together to mark off boundaries and indicate the status of the occupants and the significance of their activities.

Monthly Color vs

Weekly Fresh Cut Floral

gw007c.jpg

An economical addition or alternative to fresh cut flowers with the appeal of live beauty and vivid color is our montly color rotation program.  Greenworks provides a variety of seasonal flowering plants which our clients have found quite cost effective when compared to weekly fresh cut floral.

  • Bromeliad and orchid singles are our specialty and can be changed on a monthly basis, a significant savings over weekly fresh cut floral.
  • Our PIA award winning orchid and green dish gardens provide larger, appealing color in lobbies and high value areas.
  • Of course, we also provide weekly fresh cut floral arrangements for those special areas our clients wish to highlight: reception desks, boardrooms, executive suites, etc.

Installation

gw011.jpg

Greenworks handles all elements of the plant installation; from delivery to the site of pruned, hand-cleaned acclimated plants in their respective containers and growing media, and the placement of plants in the required points in each building, to the final watering, mulching, pruning and dressing. All phases of installation are guaranteed.

Plants are transported in special climate controlled trucks and are delivered wrapped and ready to be installed in a short amount of time with little or no disturbance to the office environment.  In high traffic areas, we can often install during off hours on an overtime basis.

Program

gw012b.jpg

As true masters of horticultural maintenance Greenwork's mission is to provide exceptional maintenance for every client account, every day at competitive prices that fit our client's budget.

Keeping living plants looking beautiful consistently is both science and art.  We are very good at it.  Our goal is excellence on every account. Our field horticultural staff is an intensively trained team whose education never stops.

  • To ensure continued consistency and quality of plant material, GreenWorks provides a maintenance agreement that includes a plant replacement guarantee.
  • We will care for every plant we install, and plants you may already own. This service includes feeding, watering, cleaning, pruning, and pest and disease control.

Since replacement rates are so low GreenWorks does not have a plant replacement quota limit.  So in those few instances where a plant no longer is beautiful, we can immediately replace with a greenhouse fresh plant of equal value and character.

Never a Bad Plant Day

gw013.jpg

Healthy, acclimatized plants look better and live longer which is why we use only acclimated plants grown for us at specialized nurseries. However, nothing lives forever. Not even the acclimated plants we use, under the best of care. So if there is any sign of deterioration, we replace the plant rapidly from our comprehensive inventory of trees, plants and live flowers.
  • Replacement of plant material will be made when necessary usually before the problem is apparent to anyone but us.
  • This is part of the guarantee, there is no additional charge.

"Never A Bad Plant Day" is accomplished by a blend of state of the art technology, scientific analysis, and complete and thorough lavish hands on care for each plant weekly.

The industry as a whole experiences a 33% plant loss per year according to the Florida growers association. We experience less than 5% loss. Since our loss rates are so low, we can charge less for our maintenance program than most competitors, and we do not have a plant replacement quota. .

By operating ultra-efficiently, we keep client costs down while maintaining excellent appearance. We do this by using everything from state-of-the-art technology to computer based scheduling.
